Under Armour Champions the Next Generation With the ON7 Youth Basketball Tournament

The future of Malaysian basketball is getting its moment on the court. This March, Under Armour is teaming up with One & One Sports Arena and Hoops Station to launch the ON7 Youth 5-on-5 Basketball Championship, a tournament designed to spotlight rising talent while celebrating the arrival of the latest signature sneaker from one of the sport’s biggest icons.

Rooted in Under Armour’s “Protect This House” ethos, the competition is more than just another youth tournament. It is a platform built to sharpen skills, build confidence and encourage young athletes to compete with the same discipline and drive that defines Stephen Curry’s game. The championship also coincides with the launch of the Curry 13, bringing the energy of Curry’s legacy directly into the hands of the next generation.

A Faster, Sharper Way to Play

The ON7 format introduces a fresh take on the traditional basketball tournament structure. Instead of the usual 12-player roster, teams are limited to seven athletes. The shift may sound simple, but it fundamentally changes how the game unfolds.

With fewer players available on the bench, every athlete gets more time on the court. That means faster decision making, stronger teamwork and constant involvement in the action. The format pushes players to adapt quickly and take greater responsibility in each play, creating an environment that accelerates development while keeping the competition intense.

It is a structure that mirrors Under Armour’s philosophy of pushing athletes beyond their comfort zones while providing the tools and stage they need to grow.

Where the Competition Happens

The tournament will bring together players aged 11 to 18 across three competitive categories, each offering a different stage for young athletes to prove themselves.

Under 13: Ages 11 to 13
Under 15: Ages 14 to 15
Under 18: Ages 16 to 18

The championship will culminate in a grand finale on 13 March 2026 at One & One Sports Arena, located within Mah Sing Integrated Industrial Park in Shah Alam.

What Players Receive

Registration is now open via One & One Sports’ official Instagram page, with two entry options available.

Individual registration is priced at RM120 per participant, while team registration is RM840 per squad.

Each registered player will receive a tournament jersey from One & One Sports Arena, an Under Armour headband and a RM100 voucher redeemable on Under Armour basketball gear at Hoops Station outlets nationwide.

Playing for More Than Bragging Rights

The stakes are high across all age categories, with winners taking home Under Armour gear prizes and exclusive rewards.

In the Under 13 category, the winning team will receive RM1,000 worth of Under Armour gear, while the second and third place teams will earn RM600 and RM300 respectively. The MVP will walk away with RM1,000 worth of Under Armour gear along with a one-month pass to One & One Sports Arena.

For the Under 15 category, first place winners will receive RM1,800 worth of Under Armour gear, followed by RM1,000 and RM600 for second and third place. The MVP will receive RM1,000 worth of Under Armour gear and a one-month arena pass.

The Under 18 division carries the biggest rewards. The champions will take home RM2,500 worth of Under Armour gear, while second and third place teams will receive RM1,400 and RM800 respectively. The MVP prize includes the coveted Curry 13 along with Under Armour gear and a one-month arena pass.

The Shoe Behind the Moment

The tournament also marks the spotlight moment for the Curry 13 “Mane”, the latest signature basketball shoe inspired by Stephen Curry’s playstyle.

Engineered for high-performance play, the sneaker features lightweight support and responsive HOVR+ cushioning designed for explosive movement and quick directional shifts. A stable EVA splash cage provides added structure, while the breathable textile upper and 3D-moulded tongue deliver comfort during intense gameplay. The flexible TPU chassis enhances traction and stability, helping players maintain control whether they are attacking the rim or locking down on defence.

The Curry 13 “Mane” is now available at selected Under Armour Brand Houses, Hoops Station outlets nationwide and online via Under Armour Malaysia’s e-commerce platform.
