SOFY Ultra Silk Brings a Little Luxury to Period Care

When it comes to period care, comfort is usually the bare minimum we ask for. No irritation, no awkward shifting, no feeling like you are wearing something bulky, and ideally, something you can completely forget about while getting on with your day.

SOFY is taking that idea a step further with its latest launch, SOFY Ultra Silk, an ultra-thin sanitary napkin crafted with 6A-grade Mulberry Silk from Suzhou. Launched by Uni-Charm Corporation Sdn Bhd, SOFY Ultra Silk is now available exclusively at Watsons Malaysia nationwide, bringing a more premium approach to everyday period care.

When friction becomes the problem

For many women, period discomfort does not stop at cramps. Skin irritation can be another frustrating part of the experience, particularly around the inner thighs where movement and friction can make things worse.

According to the Unicharm Penetration Survey, two out of five Malaysian women experience skin irritation during menstruation. The survey also found that 32% of consumers who frequently experience skin rashes between the inner thighs attribute the irritation to friction caused by the hard plastic material on the sides of sanitary pads, particularly during walking and exercise.

This is where SOFY Ultra Silk comes in.

The surface is made with 6A Grade Mulberry Suzhou Silk, selected for its ultra-soft touch. Combined with its ultra-slim 0.06cm design, the sanitary napkin is made to minimise friction between the inner thighs, helping reduce skin irritation while allowing women to move more freely.

Basically, it is period care designed with movement in mind. Walking to work, rushing between meetings, exercising, running errands or simply getting through a very normal Tuesday, the idea is to feel comfortable enough to forget about the pad altogether.

Silk, but make it period care

The star of SOFY Ultra Silk is undoubtedly its Luxury Oriental Silk surface. Made with 6A Grade Mulberry Suzhou Silk, it is designed to deliver an exceptionally soft feel against the skin.

Then there is the Super Ultra Slim 0.06cm construction, which offers 3X more breathability for what SOFY describes as a "zero feeling" experience.

Protection has not been left behind either. The sanitary napkin features a Triple Absorbent Layer, which absorbs 30% faster to keep the surface instantly dry and help prevent leakage.

So while the headline may be silk, this is not simply about making a sanitary napkin feel fancy. The design is intended to address some of the very real discomforts that can come with wearing one throughout the day.

To celebrate the launch, SOFY is also taking the #theFinestPureSilk Roadshow around Malaysia in collaboration with Watsons Malaysia.

Rather than simply putting up a product display and calling it a day, the roadshow is designed as an immersive experience where consumers can discover the new sanitary napkin through several interactive spaces.

At The Silk Lab, visitors can explore and learn more about SOFY Ultra Silk. Over at The Silk Wall, there is an oversized SOFY Ultra Silk pack shot for photos, with visitors also encouraged to share their favourite roadshow moments on social media.

Then there is the Oriental Scents Bar, where visitors can get creative and DIY their own herbal pouch.
