Walking the runway at KL Fashion Week 2024 is a huge milestone. How did you channel your signature style into your runway walk?

Walking the runway at KL Fashion Week 2024 was a dream come true and a major milestone. Thanks to my incredible team - MagicSystem, who had my back every step of the way, I felt a surge of confidence that helped me truly shine. The upbeat and joyful vibe of the song added an extra spark to the experience, making it easier to channel my signature style and strut with flair. It was a fantastic moment where everything just clicked, and I couldn’t have asked for a better runway debut!

Your attendance at Milan Fashion Week must have been a whirlwind. What was the most surreal moment for you there?

Attending Milan Fashion Week was indeed a whirlwind experience. Growing up, I admired fashion bloggers like Molly Chiang, Tamara, and Chriselle Lim. Being at the same fashion shows as them was a significant milestone in my career and a moment of personal triumph. Although I’m still on my journey to reaching their level, it was incredibly special to see how far I’ve come and to relive that excitement from my teenage years.

On your podcast, ZULA Big Sis, you tackle a lot of real and raw topics. What's the most controversial opinion you've shared so far?

On my podcast, ZULA Big Sis, I delve into a range of real and raw topics, aiming to spark meaningful conversations in a society that can often be quite conservative. One of the most controversial opinions I've shared so far is in an episode where I discussed my struggles with my mother. It’s a deeply personal topic, but I felt it was important to open up about navigating parent-child relationships as we grow older. I wanted to address how to establish boundaries while still maintaining respect, and to offer listeners insights into handling similar situations with their own families.

How do you balance the polished image of an influencer with the authenticity required for a successful podcast?

I focus on staying true to myself while also reflecting the style my followers love. It's all about finding that balance between presenting a polished image and being genuine. As I continue to grow in the social media space, I think it’s crucial to maintain a sense of relatability and honesty, rather than just showcasing a perfect facade.

Social media can be a double-edged sword. What’s the biggest misconception people have about you online?

People often think I'm wild and extroverted because of what they see online, but in reality, I'm quite laid back. I actually enjoy spending time with a small, close-knit group of about five friends most of the time.

As someone who's always in the public eye, how do you handle the pressure to constantly reinvent yourself?

I handle it by staying authentic and going with the flow. As I grow and evolve personally, my online persona naturally reflects those changes. I believe in letting my true self shine through, rather than feeling pressured to constantly reinvent myself for the sake of others.

If you could give a piece of unconventional advice to aspiring influencers, what would it be?

Be genuinely nice and kind to everyone you meet. It's amazing how much the universe rewards kindness with unexpected blessings and opportunities.

What’s next for Saffron Sharpe? Can we expect any bold moves or surprising projects in the near future?

I’ve got something really exciting up my sleeve—a dating program that’s going to shake things up! I can’t reveal too much just yet, but let’s just say you’ll want to stay tuned. Plus, I’m working on some secret plans to expand my presence in Malaysia, so keep your eyes peeled!
