Pink, Rewritten: Shiseido’s TechnoSatin Gel Lipstick Turns Colour Into Play
Pink is rarely just pink. In Shiseido’s latest drop, it becomes a system, a mood board, and a kind of controlled chaos you can wear on your lips.
The new TechnoSatin Gel Lipstick range steps into the spotlight with three fresh pink tones and two finish-changers designed to disrupt the idea of a “finished” lip look. Instead of locking you into one statement, the collection encourages constant reshaping—layer it, shift it, remix it. The result is a rotating spectrum of pink possibilities built from just five core shades, part of SHISEIDO’s limited edition Pink Collection.
At its core, this isn’t just about colour. It’s about what happens when texture, care, and experimentation collide.
Colour that behaves like skincare
The TechnoSatin Gel Lipstick is engineered to feel almost weightless, but not in a fragile way—more like it disappears into the lips while still doing the most. The formula is enriched with over 68% skincare ingredients, including Benibana (Safflower) oil, known for smoothing, hydrating, and conditioning. The intention is clear: lips that don’t just look coated, but actively feel supported throughout the day.
There’s a softness to the payoff, but not at the expense of impact. The colour is rich, the coverage full, and the finish lands in that satin zone—polished without slipping into gloss territory.
Two tools, endless shifts
Where things get more experimental is in the finish-changers. These two transformative layers are designed to be worn over any lip product, not just this range. Glide them on and the texture changes character—luminous, dimensional, slightly unpredictable.
It’s makeup as modulation. One base shade suddenly becomes multiple outcomes depending on how you decide to finish it. Subtle in the morning, more reflective by night, or somewhere in between if that’s where the mood sits.
Comfort that stays in motion
Long wear doesn’t come with rigidity here. The formula forms a flexible layer of colour that moves with the lips rather than sitting on top of them. Think of it less as coating, more as a second skin approach—soft, adaptive, and designed to last without constant maintenance.
Hydration is locked in throughout, keeping lips cushioned even as the colour holds its shape. The promise is simple: it feels like nothing, but visually commits to everything.
Build your own pink narrative
The idea behind the Pink Collection is less about finding the perfect pink and more about constructing your own. With three new pink tones and two finish-changers, the combinations are intentionally open-ended—subtle washes, soft shimmer shifts, or more layered intensity depending on how far you want to push it.
It’s lipstick as a buildable language rather than a fixed statement.
The TechnoSatin Gel Lipstick is priced at RM130 and is available at selected SHISEIDO boutiques and departmental stores, including Isetan (Suria KLCC, The Gardens Mall), AEON (Mid Valley Megamall KL), Parkson (Pavilion KL, One Utama, Gurney Plaza, Sunway Carnival, Ipoh Parade), and SHISEIDO Boutiques at The Exchange TRX, Mid Valley Megamall KL, Sunway Pyramid, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, IOI City Mall, and Vivacity Megamall.
Pink, in this iteration, isn’t a single note. It’s an editable system—and your lips are the interface.
