Magnum Went Full Pistachio Mode And Turned It Into An Experience

Some flavours have a moment. Pistachio seems to be having an entire era.

This June, Magnum leaned all the way into the obsession and introduced Magnum Pistachio Signature, a new expression of indulgence that placed craftsmanship, texture, and elevated flavour at the centre of the conversation. The launch arrived as part of Magnum’s global House of Magnum campaign and came with a reminder that indulgence, at least in Magnum’s world, has always been about the details.

For the first time, the brand created a specially crafted coating designed specifically to celebrate premium-quality pistachio, finished with what Magnum fans know best: that unmistakable crack of Belgian chocolate.

Inside, the experience continued. Dense, silky pistachio ice cream was layered with a rich marble pattern that added depth and contrast in every bite. The result wasn’t simply another pistachio release entering an already crowded conversation. Magnum Pistachio Signature positioned itself as pistachio dialled up, refined, textured, and built for people who treat dessert as more than an afterthought.

According to Maggie Tay, General Manager of The Magnum Ice Cream Company, Malaysia and Singapore, the creation reflected Magnum’s ongoing pursuit of indulgence without compromise.

“Magnum has always been about pushing the boundaries of indulgence while staying True to Pleasure. With Magnum Pistachio Signature, we set out to reimagine pistachio through a more refined and elevated lens by bringing together premium ingredients, indulgent textures, and Magnum’s iconic cracking chocolate into one crafted experience.

Designed for Pleasure Seekers who appreciate sophistication in every detail, Magnum Pistachio Signature reflects our continued commitment to transforming everyday indulgence into a sensorial and elevated experience.”

And because simply launching a flavour would have been too expected, Magnum transformed the Oval Concourse at 1 Utama Shopping Centre into the Magnum Pistachio Atelier.

For several days, the space became less shopping mall concourse and more immersive pleasure playground. Every corner was designed around craftsmanship, artistry, and flavour, inviting guests into an environment where indulgence extended beyond taste and into the entire atmosphere.

Local personalities including Aedy Ashraf, Siti Saleha, and May Ho made appearances throughout the celebration, adding a touch of glamour to the experience. But the real star remained Magnum’s reinterpretation of itself as a contemporary creative house, where texture, visual storytelling, and flavour all carried equal weight.

Guests moved through curated activations that explored Magnum’s belief that pleasure is intentional, not accidental.

One of the biggest crowd magnets was, unsurprisingly, the iconic Make My Magnum bar.

Part dessert station, part edible art experiment, the interactive experience invited guests to personalise their own Magnum Pistachio Signature creations through curated toppings and decadent finishing touches. Each ice cream became a small act of self-expression, proving that sometimes luxury really can come on a stick.

The indulgence didn’t stop at the concourse either.

Magnum extended the experience through a collaboration with Contour.PJ, presenting an exclusive menu of artisanal creations inspired by Magnum Pistachio Signature. The specially curated selection translated Magnum’s signature flavour profile into elevated desserts, pastries, and unexpected pairings that played with pistachio in more expressive ways.

Together, the collaboration blurred the lines between dessert, design, and culinary artistry.

By the time the Magnum Pistachio Atelier closed on 14 June 2026, Magnum had done more than launch a new flavour. It created a world around it.

And if one thing became clear, it’s this: pistachio is no longer just a flavour. It’s officially entered its luxury era.
