Glam Slam: Estée Lauder’s MET Gala Power Moves

The MET Gala may be fashion’s biggest night out, but in 2025, it doubled as a masterclass in beauty — led in part by Estée Lauder’s star-studded glam squad. On the red carpet? Global Brand Ambassadors Karlie Kloss and Imaan Hammam, each serving a distinct, jaw-dropping look that stopped time and triggered a thousand screenshot moments.

It wasn’t just about gowns and glitter. These looks were strategic. Sculpted. Story-driven. And powered, of course, by Estée Lauder.

KARLIE KLOSS: 90s Supermodel, Rebooted

Call it a time machine with contour. Karlie Kloss stepped out in Luar with a throwback-to-the-future face sculpted by makeup legend Hung Vanngo. The look was a love letter to 1990s supermodel glam — those smoky, bedroom eyes and nude-but-not lips that ruled runways and magazine covers.

“We wanted to channel a strong ’90s-inspired glam moment, placing emphasis on bold, defined eyes,” Vanngo shared. “We used intense black liner along both the upper and lower lash lines to create that sultry, smoked-out effect that was iconic of the era. To balance the drama of the eyes, we kept the lips understated with a soft matte finish in a pink-brown tone—reminiscent of the supermodel neutrals that defined ’90s beauty.”

The backstage kit? A curated curation of Estée Lauder icons, from the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation (flawless doesn’t begin to cover it) to the Smoke and Brighten Kajal Eyeliner Duo for that deep, defining gaze. Her skin was prepped to perfection with the Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond range — luxury skincare that doesn’t just prep the canvas, it elevates the whole damn painting.

IMAAN HAMMAM: Radiant. Regal. Revolutionary.

Then came Imaan Hammam, swathed in Magda Butrym and radiating pure power. Her makeup, led by artist Naima Bremer, pulled from a deeper well — one lined with legacy. “Inspiration was the iconic first back supermodel era - the first Iman - because they really paved the way for other black supermodels,” said Bremer. “We really wanted to channel that essence: strong, radiant, melanin-popping, and unapologetically black with a lip liner look once labeled as ghetto.”

The result? A beauty look that reclaims and redefines. Lined lips in Chestnut, kissed with Modern Muse crème lipstick, paired with a glowing complexion anchored by Double Wear in Cinnamon. The real flex? That skin. Illuminated with Solar Crush, warmed with the Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer, and glazed to the gods with Revitalizing Supreme+ everything.

Estée Lauder didn’t just show up — they dominated the narrative. And while the gowns grabbed headlines, it’s the beauty that lingered in memory: bold, brilliant, unapologetic.

MET Gala 2025 reminded us that beauty is more than skin-deep — it's a story. And Estée Lauder? They're writing it in ink that doesn’t smudge.
