Galau Goes Global: A World Tour of Heartache in KL

On 28 June 2025, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is throwing its boldest, moodiest party yet — Galau Global, a one-night-only sonic spiral into heartbreak, healing, and everything in between. In celebration of World Music Day, the city’s most rebellious hotel is flipping the script on your standard music showcase with a Live@Aloft event that bleeds emotion and oozes local talent.
Expect a genre-hopping soundtrack to your inner chaos: Malay and Indonesian ballads? Check. English break-up bangers? Of course. A sprinkle of Korean, Spanish, and Japanese sad jams to really push you over the edge? Naturally.
Taking the mic are Didie Shazry, Yad, Maria Effendi, and Mukhriz Syah — artists who know a thing or two about turning pain into poetry. Whether you’re mid-heartbreak or just a fan of feel-heavy music, these performers are here to drag you through the emotional trenches (and maybe, if you’re lucky, leave you a little lighter on the other side).
But this isn’t just a concert. It’s a full-blown heartbreak installation.
The hotel’s ballroom will be transformed into a catharsis zone: a “Wall of Closure” where you can leave the messages you never sent, dramatic photo ops to immortalise your suffering, and a booth serving up complimentary keepsakes to help you remember the night your heart cracked open in style. There’s also a chance to score TEVA vouchers worth up to RM2,000 — because if you’re going to walk away from love, you might as well do it in good shoes.
