The Gucci Primavera Beauty Look Is All About Attitude

At the Gucci Primavera fashion show, beauty did not play a supporting role. It stepped forward as part of the outfit itself. Makeup became an extension of attitude, echoing the bold personalities walking the runway. The mood drew from the spirit of the ‘70s and the punchy confidence of the ‘90s, merging vintage cues with a distinctly modern lens.

The lips set the tone. Strong, graphic and impossible to ignore, they moved through a spectrum of glamour. Deep reds delivered classic drama, inky black introduced a rebellious twist, while cool beige tones kept things unexpected and chic. Finishes ranged from velvety matte to glassy gloss and smooth satin, giving each look its own character. On selected models, the Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Mat doubled as a lip liner, sculpting an ombré effect that added dimension and a slightly undone edge.

Eyes followed suit with a smoky attitude that felt effortless yet striking. The Gucci Stylo Contour des Yeux Khol Eyeliner in Noir 01 traced the lash line before being blended outward, its soft formula diffusing into a hazy shadow that fanned upward toward the brow bone. Lashes were amplified with Gucci Mascara Le Magnétisme, delivering volume and intensity without overpowering the look. Brows were sharpened and elongated with the Gucci Crayon Définition Sourcils pencil in neutral tones, framing the eyes with clean precision.

Across the complexion, the approach was all about contrast and structure. Tonal contouring played with light and shadow to sculpt the face, subtly sharpening cheekbones and defining natural features. Skin remained matte and controlled, allowing strategic highlights to do the talking. The Gucci Glow Highlighter and Gucci Éclat De Beauté Effet Lumière were applied with restraint to key points including the cupid’s bow, the bridge of the nose, the inner corners of the eyes and the tops of the cheekbones. The result was light that appeared to glow from within rather than sit on the surface.

Behind the scenes, a lineup of Gucci Beauty favourites helped shape the runway looks. Among them were the glossy finish of the Gucci Gloss à Lèvres 117 Joslyn Clair, the rich tones of the Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Satin shades 505 Janet Rust, 700 Crystal Black and 220 Suzanne Sunset, and the cult red of the Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Mat 25 Goldie Red. The brand’s Gucci Stylo Définition L’Obscur eyeliner, Gucci Baume Nourrissant Universel, Gucci Brume De Beauté and Gucci Illuminateur de Beauté also played supporting roles in perfecting the final finish.

The beauty moments from the show were captured by photographer Pablo Freda, preserving the sharp contrasts, bold lips and smoky eyes that defined the runway.
