Raya Comes Alive at Pavilion Bukit Jalil With Malaysia’s Favourite Heroes
There is something magical about Raya in the city. The warm glow of festive lights, the scent of buka puasa drifting through the air, and the unmistakable excitement when children spot their favourite characters come to life. This year, Pavilion Bukit Jalil brings all of that together with “Joyful Aidilfitri – Together, Here.”, a month-long celebration running from 27 February to 29 March 2026.
At the heart of the festivities are beloved Malaysian animated heroes from Monsta, including BoBoiBoy, Mechamato and Papa Pipi. Inspired by the balik kampung tradition, the campaign imagines the trio travelling home together, echoing the familiar journey many Malaysians make during the festive season.
Across the mall, festive decorations inspired by scenes from the BoBoiBoy and Mechamato series transform everyday spaces into vibrant installations. Shoppers can expect interactive moments throughout the campaign, including mascot meet-and-greets, cultural workshops and family-friendly activities designed to capture the warmth of Hari Raya.
“Hari Raya is a season filled with joy, warmth and meaningful moments shared with family and loved ones. At Pavilion Bukit Jalil, we aim to create festive experiences that bring the community together in a vibrant and welcoming setting. Through our collaboration with Monsta, beloved Malaysian heroes such as BoBoiBoy, Mechamato and Papa Pipi come to life in the mall, creating a joyful and family-friendly environment that reflects the spirit of ‘Joyful Aidilfitri – Together, Here.’, where families can spend time together and create memorable moments throughout the festive season,” said Dato’ Mearia Hamzah, Board of Director of Pavilion REIT.
Games, Parades and Movie Days
One of the biggest highlights is the Monsta Galaxy Card Tournament, held across three festive weekends on 7, 8, 14, 15, 28 and 29 March at Level 2, Centre Court. Participants can enter through a purchase-to-play mechanic and compete for prizes, promo packs and medals while Monsta mascots roam the venue to keep the atmosphere lively.
Families can also look forward to the Monsta Mascot Parade, where characters including Amato, Papa Zola, Pipi Zola and BoBoiBoy take young shoppers on a festive train ride from the Pink Zone to the Orange Zone before ending at Centre Court for games and giveaways. The parade takes place on 7, 14 and 28 March from 12.00pm to 4.00pm.
Sundays also bring a relaxed movie experience with Sunday Movie Screening with Monsta, happening on 8, 15 and 29 March. Each session features a different Monsta show, along with quizzes and special mascot appearances to keep the excitement going.
From Anime Bazaars to Cultural Workshops
Beyond the Monsta universe, Pavilion Bukit Jalil adds even more energy to the festive calendar. From 4 to 8 March, PIAZZA at Level 3 transforms into The Grand Line Raya Bazaar, a themed marketplace inspired by the world of One Piece in collaboration with Netflix. Visitors can explore themed food stalls, interactive challenges and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
Supporting women entrepreneurs, the Single Mom Market organised by Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia runs throughout the campaign at Level 2, Pink Zone, highlighting handmade creations by single mothers in a Raya-themed setting.
Art and culture also take centre stage with collaborations from UCSI University’s Institute of Creative Arts and Design. Visitors can join the Batik Tie & Dye Art Workshop on 14 March or catch the Batik Gaya Raya Fashion Parade on 28 March, where students reinterpret traditional batik with contemporary design.
A Season of Giving and Sustainability
The spirit of Ramadan shines through with the Pavilion REIT Joyful Aidilfitri Iftar with Community on 11 March. Hosted with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Kuala Lumpur, the event welcomes orphanage homes from across the Klang Valley for a buka puasa gathering at PIAZZA, Level 3. Around 600 guests will be served with the support of more than 30 Pavilion mall tenants and brands, alongside a special appearance from Monsta characters.
Towards the end of the campaign, the mall also marks Earth Day with the WWF Eco Bazaar from 27 to 29 March. Organised with World Wide Fund for Nature, the programme features a scavenger hunt across 20 outlets, an eco-conscious marketplace and a symbolic Lights Out Ceremony from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
Shopping Rewards and Raya Surprises
The celebration also comes with plenty of shopping perks. In partnership with Maybank, shoppers can unlock exclusive rewards throughout the campaign. Purchases from RM150 in a single receipt, or RM100 with a Maybank Credit or Charge Card, earn festive Raya packets and Monsta Galaxy Cards. Higher spending tiers offer limited-edition Monsta tote bags, cup and saucer sets and Luminarc jug sets.
Meanwhile, the mall’s Spend Big, Win Gold – Raya Super Sale ties into the nationwide Malaysia Super Sales, giving shoppers the chance to win gold jewellery when they spend RM1,000 or more in a single receipt and submit their entry via the Pavilion Bukit Jalil app.
Members also enjoy exclusive perks. Pavilion Privileges Members can redeem TGV movie tickets with qualifying purchases, while Kids Club members receive a special lunch box set. Additional activities like the weekly Crafty Raya Workshop and a pottery painting session for International Women’s Day add even more festive charm.
