Onitsuka Tiger Enters a New Era With Its Spring/Summer 2027 Collection at Milan Fashion Week

From a fresh take on its signature stripes to a high-octane collaboration with Honda, Onitsuka Tiger is putting its heritage in motion.

Onitsuka Tiger is shifting gears. At Milan Fashion Week, the Japanese label unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, introducing a new chapter for the brand that brings together sharp tailoring, sportswear and a renewed vision of luxury lifestyle dressing. The concept behind it all? An “ENERGY STATION” where cultures collide, identities intersect and fresh ideas find room to take off.

Think of it as a pit stop for the creatively restless. Inspired by places where travellers from different directions gather to recharge before continuing their journeys, “ENERGY STATION” draws parallels with a caravanserai, a traditional resting place for travellers and their caravans. Here, different lifestyles and values coexist, creating the conditions for new stories to emerge.

For Onitsuka Tiger, the concept is also a statement of intent. As the brand looks towards its next era, it is bringing its rich heritage along for the ride while giving its established codes a contemporary refresh.

Tailoring Meets Its Sporty Side

Across 49 looks, the collection explores the sweet spot between refined dressing and athletic functionality. Delicate fabrics meet utilitarian details, creating a wardrobe that feels polished without losing its sense of movement. The result is a balance between elegance and an active spirit, proving that tailoring does not have to be stiff and sportswear need not be confined to the gym.

It is this interplay that gives the collection its character. Rather than treating formalwear and athletic influences as separate worlds, Onitsuka Tiger brings them together in a single conversation, offering a fresh perspective on how modern luxury can look and feel.

A New Stripe in the Making

For a brand whose identity is so closely tied to its footwear, the next step begins where it all started: sneakers.

The Spring/Summer 2027 collection introduces footwear as a renewed meeting point between sport, fashion and lifestyle. Drawing on the craftsmanship and history that have shaped Onitsuka Tiger, the brand explores new possibilities for its sneakers, looking beyond their athletic origins towards a more contemporary expression.

The headline reveal is a new “Onitsuka Tiger Stripe”, unveiled for the first time on the runway. The signature motif retains the essence of the stripes that have defined the brand for decades, but its form has been reworked through a modern lens.

It is a subtle yet significant move. Heritage remains part of the picture, but it is not being treated as something to preserve under glass. Instead, Onitsuka Tiger is reshaping its visual identity for what comes next, using its most recognisable design element to connect the past with the future.

Onitsuka Tiger x Honda: Fashion Hits the Fast Lane

If “ENERGY STATION” is about movement, the runway's collaboration with Honda makes that idea impossible to miss.

Joining forces with one of Japan's leading mobility companies, Onitsuka Tiger brought motorcycle culture into the collection, translating the visual language of racing into a fashion context where performance and style share the same lane.

Graphics and silhouettes inspired by motorcycling appear in lightweight mesh and jersey fabrics, while the functional appeal of racing gear takes on a more contemporary edge. Honda's iconic wing logo ties the collaboration together, appearing across a range of pieces, including boots, caps, T-shirts and socks.

The partnership also extends beyond clothing and accessories. Making its debut alongside the collection was the Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept, a concept motorcycle based on a newly developed mid-class supersport model. Incorporating the new Onitsuka Tiger Stripe revealed at the show, the motorcycle brings Honda's approach to mobility and innovation together with Onitsuka Tiger's distinctive design language.

It is a meeting of two Japanese names with different specialities but a shared interest in movement, function and forward-thinking design. Rather than simply placing two logos side by side, the collaboration builds on the collection's central idea: energy is most interesting when it takes you somewhere new.

The Next Destination

With its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Onitsuka Tiger is doing more than revisiting familiar design codes. The brand is exploring how its sporting heritage can evolve into a broader luxury lifestyle proposition, from reimagined sneakers and a new signature stripe to a collaboration that brings fashion and mobility together.

“ENERGY STATION” may be a place to pause, but this collection is anything but stationary. Onitsuka Tiger is carrying its history into unfamiliar territory, finding new ways to express its identity while keeping its sights firmly on the road ahead. Consider this the starting point of its next journey.
