Good Girl Gets Even More Dangerous: Carolina Herrera’s Jasmine Absolute Is Here
There are some fragrances that quietly sit on your vanity. Then there are the ones that arrive dressed like they already know they’re going to be noticed.
For the 10th anniversary of its original iconic stiletto fragrance, Carolina Herrera is turning the spotlight back onto one of the most important ingredients in the Good Girl story: jasmine.
Meet Good Girl Jasmine Absolute, a new interpretation of the signature fragrance that takes the brand’s famous “It’s so good to be bad” attitude and gives it a warmer, more seductive edge. This time, jasmine is not playing a supporting role. She is very much the main character.
And honestly, the bottle alone makes that clear.
Jasmine Has Always Been Part of the Story
For Carolina Herrera, jasmine is far more than another floral note added to a fragrance formula. It has become part of the house’s visual and olfactory language.
“It’s my mother’s favorite flower,” says Carolina A. Herrera, Beauty Creative Director. “She always remembers the scent of the jasmine plant that grew beneath her bedroom window during summer holidays. It has inspired countless creations, from dresses and earrings to our most iconic fragrances.”
That connection has appeared throughout Carolina Herrera’s creative world, from its earliest perfumes to the refined silhouettes of Creative Director Wes Gordon. Jasmine has remained a recurring reference, celebrated for that very particular contradiction it carries.
Its white petals look delicate, but the scent itself can be intensely warm and intoxicating.
That duality feels particularly at home in the Good Girl universe.
The original Good Girl Eau de Parfum placed jasmine at the heart of the fragrance, helping establish what would become a global fragrance phenomenon. Over the past decade, the floral note has continued to feature across the Good Girl collection.
For its 10th anniversary, however, jasmine finally gets the full spotlight.
The Femme Fatale, Rewritten
Good Girl Jasmine Absolute takes the familiar jasmine note and pushes it into decidedly more indulgent territory.
The fragrance brings together jasmine, caramelized toffee and tonka bean, with warm benzoin underneath. The result is described as sensual, sophisticated and gourmand, with an intensity designed to leave an impression.
It is also crafted by perfumers Louise Turner and Quentin Bisch, who use jasmine to explore the more seductive side of the Good Girl identity.
“Jasmine is a note full of force, despite its fragile beauty,” explains Herrera. “In Jasmine Absolute, we’ve used it to emphasize the fragrance’s most seductive facet. It’s the scent of a woman who knows who she is, pursues her dreams, and doesn’t let anything stand in her way.”
Which, really, is very Good Girl.
The new fragrance continues to play with that contrast at the heart of the collection: softness and strength, femininity and power, sweetness and something a little more dangerous.
The jasmine brings the luminous floral quality, while caramelized toffee and tonka bean give the composition its richer gourmand character. Benzoin adds another layer of warmth underneath it all.
It is less about choosing between being good or bad and more about owning both sides.
And Then There’s That Shoe
Of course, we cannot talk about Good Girl without talking about the stiletto.
The sculptural heel has become almost as recognisable as the fragrance itself, so naturally, the 10th anniversary edition had to make an entrance of its own.
For the first time, the iconic black stiletto is finished with a jasmine flower, turning the bottle into something that feels part fragrance, part jewellery box and part couture object.
The flower features a pearl-like texture against the bottle’s obsidian finish, creating a striking contrast between softness and darkness. It is intended to represent purity, femininity and power, while bringing a high-fashion sensibility to the fragrance.
“Reimagining the stiletto is always a technical challenge,” Herrera says. “This time, we leaned into our couture spirit, adding a gleaming jasmine flower as a bold design statement. The result is the most sophisticated and daring version of the bottle to date.”
And yes, it does sound suitably dramatic for a fragrance that comes in a shoe.
Ten Years of Good Girl, One Very Jasmine Anniversary
Good Girl Jasmine Absolute is ultimately a celebration of everything that has made the Good Girl collection so recognisable over the past decade, with jasmine pushed right to the centre of the story.
It is floral, but not in a particularly innocent way. The jasmine is paired with caramelized toffee, tonka bean and benzoin to create something warmer, richer and more provocative, while the redesigned stiletto gives the anniversary edition a distinctly jewellery-like finish.
The result is a fragrance that stays firmly within the Good Girl universe while giving its signature flower a little more room to command attention.
After all, ten years is a pretty good excuse to be a little extra.
