Coach Is Having a Cherry Moment, and Malaysia Gets First Dibs

Coach has always known how to make classics feel cool again. This season, the New York house leans into one of its most recognisable motifs, turning its playful cherry charm into an addictive new fragrance while introducing a fresh parfum for men inspired by the energy of Manhattan. Together, Coach Cherry and Coach Pure Platinum prove that fragrance can be both a fashion statement and an extension of personality.

Leading the launch is Emmy Award-winning actor and producer Storm Reid, who fronts the campaign for Coach Cherry with the kind of effortless confidence the scent is built around. It's youthful without trying too hard, playful without losing sophistication, and made for anyone who enjoys leaving a memorable impression.

Created by Givaudan perfumers Natalie Cetto and Nadège Le Garlantezec, Coach Cherry wastes no time making itself known. The opening is juicy and vibrant, blending dark cherry with sparkling mandarin and a kick of pink pepper that keeps the sweetness from becoming predictable. As it settles, jasmine sambac, magnolia and rose bring a romantic softness, while davana adds an unexpected aromatic twist. Finally, patchouli, tonka bean and Ambrofix create a warm, lingering finish that stays close to the skin long after the first spray.

The bottle is just as charming as what's inside. Finished in a rich cherry-red lacquer, it carries Coach's signature Horse and Carriage logo, a gold cherry charm, and the house's unmistakable red turnlock cap. Even the packaging joins the conversation with an embossed cherry pattern that feels equal parts nostalgic and modern.

A Pop-Up Worth Stopping For

Coach isn't letting the fragrance live only on the shelf. From 17 to 26 July, the brand is transforming the Concourse at Suria KLCC into an immersive Coach Cherry experience.

Visitors can explore interactive fragrance discovery stations, snap social-worthy moments throughout the space, and try their hand at the Scoop & Win Cherry Treats game. Those who purchase a fragrance can also redeem a complimentary popsicle from the Cherry Truck, making the visit feel more like a summer escape than a shopping trip.

Coach Pure Platinum Brings New York Attitude

While Coach Cherry embraces colour and charm, Coach Pure Platinum heads in a different direction. Fronted by musician and Coach Global Ambassador Omar Apollo in his first campaign with the house, the new parfum channels the confidence of New York City through a cleaner, more architectural lens.

Created by perfumer Tanguy Guesnet, the fragrance opens with lavender oil, mandarin oil and crisp apple before moving into a heart of rum absolute, orange flower and moss. The dry down combines ambrox, labdanum resinoid and cedarwood heart oil, resulting in a bold, lasting composition that balances freshness with depth.

Its gunmetal bottle mirrors the sleek lines of Manhattan's skyline, complete with the iconic Coach Horse and Carriage emblem sculpted into the glass, a black leather hangtag and matching gunmetal plaque. It joins Coach's existing men's fragrance collection, including Coach For Men Eau de Toilette, Blue, Green and Coach For Men Eau de Parfum, while carving out its own identity through a richer parfum concentration.

Whether you're drawn to juicy cherries or polished woods, Coach's latest fragrance duo reflects the house's signature New York spirit: expressive, confident and never afraid to stand out.
