4,500 Runners Join Lotus’s Ceria Charity Run 2025, Raising RM400,000 for Education with PINTAR Foundation
It was more than just a run — it was a movement. On 17 September 2025, over 4,500 runners laced up for a good cause at Lotus’s Ceria Charity Run 2025 (CCR’25) in Bandar Bukit Puchong, turning a sunny Sunday morning into a celebration of community, fitness, and giving back. Hosted by Lotus’s Stores (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., the third edition of CCR raised an impressive RM400,000 for the Lotus’s–PINTAR SMART Up School Programme, reaffirming the brand’s dedication to empowering under-resourced communities through education.
Launched in 2023, Lotus’s “Jom Lari, Kutip & Kongsi Ceria” concept has quickly evolved from a fun charity jog into a nationwide phenomenon. Now in its third year, the event attracted both Malaysians and non-Malaysians of all ages, all united by one goal — to make education accessible for all.
The RM400,000 raised will go directly into sustainable education initiatives designed to uplift underserved schools. These programmes not only boost academic performance but also nurture personal growth and financial literacy among students. One standout initiative is the SMART Shopper Plus workshop, which teaches essential money management and positive shopping habits. Through ongoing efforts like these, Lotus’s and PINTAR aim to reach 50,000 students across Malaysia in the near future.
This year’s run featured three categories — 15KM, 10KM, and 5KM — allowing everyone from seasoned runners to first-timers to join in. Along the way, participants were treated to Lotus’s reusable bags packed with crowd-favourite goodies: Lotus’s Tom Yum instant noodles, Caramel Latte sachets, Nax Nax biscuits, and Coca-Cola’s Fuze Tea. At the finish line, each runner proudly received a CCR’25 medal and a stash of branded treats worth up to RM350.
Lotus’s Malaysia CEO, Saksit Panurach, shared his pride in how far the event has come:
“From 3,000 participants in 2023 to over 4,500 runners today, the Lotus’s Ceria Charity Run has grown into more than just a community event. With the unwavering support of our brand partners, it has become a meaningful movement that combines health, unity, and purpose, giving back to education programmes that will shape our youth beyond the classroom. We are deeply grateful to our partners for their generosity and to everyone who made this success possible.”
The good vibes didn’t stop at the finish line. Beyond the run, the Race Village buzzed with energy, featuring over 40 product sampling booths, fun games, food trucks, and live entertainment. Major brands like Nescafe, Milo, Nestum, Koko Krunch, Enercal, Omega, Nestle Ice Cream, Jacobs, Chips More, Oreo, Tiger, Dugro, Aptamil, Ahmad Tea, Farm Fresh, Yeos, Gillette, Schick, Happy, Mi Sedaap, Chagee, and Horlicks joined in, keeping the crowd fuelled and entertained throughout the day.
Adding to the fun were beloved mascots including LoLo the polar bear from Lotus’s, Cookie Guy from Mondelez, Tiggo, Coca-Cola’s Cola Bear, and Breeze’s mascot — a lineup that delighted both kids and adults alike. The atmosphere was electric, blending carnival vibes with the infectious spirit of community and charity.
As the day wrapped up, excitement peaked with a lucky draw and a mock cheque presentation to PINTAR Foundation. In true Lotus’s style, the prizes didn’t disappoint. A total of 197 lucky participants walked away with rewards, including the grand prize — a SHARP 75-inch 4K UHD Google TV — and a Zero ZT-Velox Treadmill for one extra-lucky fitness enthusiast.
From sweat-drenched finishers to gleeful children clutching mascot plushies, CCR’25 proved that running for a cause can be both impactful and exhilarating. Lotus’s continues to turn every stride into a step toward a brighter, more educated Malaysia — one race at a time.
