Syomsz’s “Dah Ready?” Collection Is Raya Dressing With Colour, Chaos, and Kampung Joy
Raya mornings are never quiet.
They are filled with laughter, last-minute outfit adjustments, children running around, someone yelling from the other room, and that one question every Malaysian family asks on repeat:
Dah ready?
For Aidilfitri 2026, Syomsz captures that exact feeling with its latest festive capsule, “Dah Ready?”, unveiled in Kuala Lumpur on 11 February 2026. The collection is a vibrant celebration of family, nostalgia, and modern Raya dressing, reimagining kampung traditions through colour, comfort, and contemporary style.
This is Syomsz at its best: expressive, joyful, and rooted in the moments that make Raya feel like home.
A Campaign That Feels Like a Family Raya Shoot
Inspired by the familiar ritual of getting ready for a family Raya photo session back in the kampung, “Dah Ready?” is built around connection, community, and the warmth of shared chaos.
The campaign stars Malaysian style icons Sazzy Falak and Nazril Idrus, joined by their twin daughters Imaan Lily and Tiara Rose, and their son Idris.
Adding an affectionate, deeply familiar touch is Norzaini Abd Hamid, fondly known as Aunty Aini, who plays the family’s beloved grandmother in the campaign video.
Set to an original catchy track titled “Warna Warni Hari Raya” by Malaysian artist Ushera, the film captures the humour and heart of Raya preparations, the kind of moments every household knows intimately.
Natural Fabrics, Made for Malaysian Weather
Staying true to Syomsz’s core identity, the Dah Ready? collection continues the brand’s commitment to breathable, all-natural fabrics.
Expect linen, cotton, and tencel, designed for comfort and sustainability in the Malaysian climate, because looking good should never mean overheating by noon.
Genderless Raya, The Syomsz Way
One of the most defining elements of the collection is Syomsz’s signature approach to inclusive dressing.
Most pieces are designed with genderless silhouettes that can be worn across genders, with the exception of the kebaya styles, which retain their traditional feminine structure.
It is a modern interpretation of Raya style: rooted in tradition, but open, fluid, and for everyone.

“The Little Moments That Make Raya Meaningful”
Designer Syomirizwa Gupta describes the collection as a tribute to the emotional texture of the season:
“This collection is a tribute to the little moments that make Raya so meaningful—the laughter, the chaos, the ‘dah ready ke belum?’ that every family knows so well. I wanted pieces that feel expressive yet comfortable, allowing anyone to create their own version of modern tradisi. Festive, yes—but also timeless enough to outlive the season.”
It is that balance Syomsz does so well: festive but wearable, nostalgic but forward-looking.
A New Boutique in Ampang
In conjunction with the launch, Syomsz also celebrated the opening of its latest boutique at The Campus in Ampang, expanding beyond its existing Bangsar showroom and online store.
The new space marks the brand’s continued commitment to accessible, contemporary Malaysian design.
The preview event was brought to life with a lively performance by Ushera, who debuted her new Raya single “Warna Warni Hari Raya”, filling the atmosphere with warmth and celebratory energy that echoed the collection itself.
Dah Ready for Raya?
With “Dah Ready?”, Syomsz delivers a Raya capsule that feels deeply Malaysian: colourful, inclusive, comfortable, and full of heart.
Because the best part of festive dressing is not just the outfit.
It is the memories you make while getting ready.
