Bigger, Bolder, Louder: KL Fashion Week 2025 Is Coming In Hot
After a jaw-dropping 2024 run, KL Fashion Week is ready to raise the stakes for its 13th edition — and it’s doing so in serious style. Partnering once again with Suria KLCC and KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, the city’s most-watched fashion event is reclaiming its open-air throne in front of the PETRONAS Twin Towers, reintroducing its custom-built, all-black show space that now stretches nearly the full length of the Esplanade.
New this year? A dedicated arrivals hall. Five hundred guests per show. A high-contrast, sleek façade. And a massive LED screen broadcasting every walk, twirl and flip of hair for the fashion-hungry public. Let’s just say: KLFW 2025 isn’t here to whisper.
With more than 55 designers and brands confirmed, the lineup is KLFW’s biggest yet. Expect long-awaited comebacks, bold first-timers and those staple names who’ve made the event what it is today.

The Old Guard Returns
Veteran favourites like Ezzati Amira, Hatta Dolmat, Maarimaia, Mimpikita, Neonate and Private Stitch are making their grand return to the runway. And yes, they’re still breaking boundaries and defining what Malaysian fashion can be. Larney and Afiq M are teaming up for a high-impact, high-glam collab — a sleek match that’s all elegance, no filler.
Meanwhile, designer Radzuan Radziwill and bespoke craftsman Teh Firdaus — best known for dressing Malaysia’s A-listers and royalty — will make their long-awaited KLFW runway debut. Expect nothing short of opulence.
The New Class Steps Up
It’s not just about the OGs. Rising talents like Akmal Hakim, ShazNash, Ugly Pretty, HUNTILANAK and MOKJY are set to crash the scene, bringing fresh, fearless energy to the runway. Outdwell and Doubleback will also be marking their first KLFW appearances — a signal that the next wave is here and more than ready.
And in the “Design To Sustain” spotlight? Raja Irfan, Mei Mei, and Salahuddinhilmi — winners of the 2024 KLFW Designer Search — are proving that the future of fashion is not only stylish, but sustainable.
Where Fashion Meets Culture
This year’s runway isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about storytelling. Muni and Sofia Iman are both turning their deep reverence for heritage into statement-making collections. Muni’s love of natural dyes and Sofia Iman’s intricate take on songket will be reimagined in looks that are runway-ready but rooted in something real.
In fact, Sofia Iman’s opening show on 4 August — titled Suria KLCC Presents Sofia Iman — will mark her KLFW debut. It's also the kickoff to what promises to be one of the most ambitious fashion weeks in the city’s history.
Powering the Movement
KLFW might be a marquee event, but founder Andrew Tan insists it’s still all about community.
“After an iconic KLFW 2024, where we hosted 7 impactful days in our own purpose-built show space, we knew we had to return for another year,” Tan shares. “KLFW 2025 marks an amplified comeback — with bigger ambitions, a head-turning lineup, bolder styles, trends, and world class fashion. While we may be the city’s leading fashion event, at its core, KLFW remains a community-driven movement.”
That community now includes heavy hitters like L’Oréal Paris, Poh Kong, MOCCONA, and vivo Malaysia, as well as a slew of returning partners — think AirAsia, Laurier, GHD, Laurastar, Magnum, HMNS, Vida, AICB, Signature, Colgate, and Skechers. Not to mention official hotel partners Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and Impiana KLCC Hotel. It takes a village, and this one is dressed to impress.
KLCC the Place, the Fashion Destination
KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd’s Group CEO Datuk Sr Mohd. Salem Kailany couldn’t be more pleased to host the spectacle again. “The return of KLFW reaffirms our commitment to positioning KLCC the Place as the centre of fashion, culture, and creativity in this vibrant city,” he says.
And Suria KLCC is not holding back either. “This year, we’re especially excited to present ‘Suria KLCC Presents Sofia Iman’... her first appearance at KLFW, which makes this collaboration even more meaningful to us,” says Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd. He also hinted at another big move: Rizman Ruzaini will be joining the Suria KLCC retail family later this year with their own boutique.
Beauty with a Message
As KLFW’s official beauty, makeup and hair partner, L’Oréal Paris Malaysia is bringing its signature flair — and its philosophy. “This partnership goes beyond the runway; it is about empowering every woman to embrace her individuality and feel confident in her own skin,” says Khalil El Osta, L’Oréal Paris Malaysia’s Marketing Director. “We believe that everyone should confidently ‘walk their worth’.”
KL Fashion Week 2025 isn’t just a comeback. It’s a statement. And the message is loud and clear: Malaysia’s fashion scene is thriving, pulsing with pride, creativity, and bold new energy. Whether you’re front row, catching the livestream, or just soaking it all in from the sidelines — this is one show you don’t want to miss.
