Interview with Ena Cesir, Founder of Bare Skin Facial + Laser Bar
You emphasise rewriting the rules of skincare. What were some outdated or ineffective industry practices that you wanted to change when creating Bare Skin Facial?
When I first started thinking about founding Bare Skin Facial + Laser Bar, I noticed that most skincare centres follow an outdated practice where clients have to buy multiple treatment packages for different skin concerns. The problem with that is—skin doesn’t stay the same! Our skin changes constantly due to factors like hormones, lifestyle, and even environmental exposure. We wanted to change that by offering a truly personalised approach where one treatment package evolves with the client’s skin needs, without extra charges. We also moved away from those long, traditional facials that focus more on relaxation than actual results. Instead, we’ve crafted shorter, results-driven treatments that fit into busy lives, and it’s been so rewarding to see how much clients appreciate this flexibility.
Many skincare centres struggle to balance affordability with high-quality treatments. How does Bare Skin Facial ensure both without compromising on results?
I know that many places offer multiple packages for different skin concerns, which can quickly add up. But we didn’t want to put our clients in that position. At Bare Skin Facial, we don’t require clients to buy separate packages for different issues. Instead, we offer one personalized treatment package that adapts to whatever your skin needs at that moment—without charging extra. Yes, we knew that might affect profitability, but we decided the greater impact was in providing our clients with real value.
Your treatments integrate AI skincare tools. How does this technology enhance the client experience and ensure truly personalized results?
Our AI technology is a key part of what makes Bare Skin Facial + Laser Bar so unique. The scan assesses 9 different parameters of your skin and takes into account your lifestyle and personal skin concerns. This data is then used to create a treatment plan that is 100% personalized to you. It removes any guesswork from the process and ensures that every treatment is as effective as possible. The technology also lets us track progress over time, so we can continually adjust the treatments to match your skin’s changing needs. It's truly about offering you skincare that evolves with you.
You’ve pioneered combining two treatments into one session without extra costs. What inspired this approach, and how does it improve skin outcomes?
What I wanted was a way for clients to treat multiple skin concerns at once, without spending extra time or money. The beauty of our approach is that we offer a personalized treatment that targets two skin concerns in one session, while also hydrating and nourishing the skin. This reduces the time clients need to spend on treatments and speeds up the results. It’s about being smart with your time and your investment—giving clients more value and faster results without compromising on care.
Many traditional facials focus on relaxation, but Bare Skin prioritizes efficiency. How do you respond to clients who seek both relaxation and results?
We always tell our clients that we focus on results first, but we also know that skincare should be an experience. So, we end every treatment with something special—a customized mask, Oxygen Dome, and a short hand massage. It’s our way of providing that relaxing touch while still staying true to our core purpose: delivering real, effective results.
Enlarged pores, dullness, and hormonal pigmentation are major concerns for many. Which treatments have been the most effective in tackling these issues?
For concerns like enlarged pores, dullness, and pigmentation, we’ve found that lasers and chemical peels work particularly well—sometimes in combination with one another. For pigmentation, we take a tailored approach, as the type of pigmentation plays a crucial role in determining which treatments will be most effective. Certain pigmentation types do not respond well to frequent light-based treatments, so we carefully customize the approach to ensure safety and efficacy. This personalized strategy allows us to address each client’s specific skin issues in a way that is both effective and gentle.
You allow clients to adjust their treatment packages as their skin evolves. Why was this flexibility important to you, and how does it benefit long-term skincare goals?
Flexibility has always been a core value for us. The future of skincare is all about freedom—the freedom to adjust treatments as skin needs change over time. This flexibility is essential because skin is dynamic; it changes with factors like age, lifestyle, and environmental exposure. Offering our clients the ability to adjust their treatments based on their skin’s evolving needs, without incurring extra charges, ensures that they are always receiving the most appropriate care. It also reinforces the idea that skincare should be adaptable and responsive to life’s changes, which leads to better long-term results.
With a Plastic Surgeon and an Aesthetic Doctor on board, how does their expertise shape the treatments offered at Bare Skin Facial?
When we were developing our treatment protocols, I enlisted the expertise of a Plastic Surgeon and an Aesthetic Doctor to ensure that every treatment we offered would be safe, effective, and performed with the highest standards of care. Their expertise shaped the way we combine technologies, the specific treatment protocols we use, and the overall philosophy behind our services. They’ve been integral to the training and examination of our team, ensuring that every aesthetician is equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver treatments with both precision and care.
Beyond skin health, how do you hope Bare Skin Facial empowers clients in their daily lives?
We want our clients to feel comfortable and confident in their skin, no matter what. Skin is our largest organ, and how we feel about it affects our confidence. Our goal is to help clients embrace their natural beauty and build self-esteem from within. It’s about more than just skincare—it’s about empowering people to feel confident in their own skin, without the need for filters or anything artificial.
What’s next for Bare Skin Facial? Are there any upcoming innovations, treatments, or expansions we should look forward to?
We’re excited for what’s next! We have plans to expand to more locations and continue bringing our personalized, cutting-edge approach to even more people. We’re also always on the lookout for new technologies and treatments that will enhance our offerings, keeping us at the forefront of the skincare industry. So yes, there are plenty of exciting things ahead—more outlets, more services, and more ways to help our clients look and feel their best.
